Atlanta Gas Light Rebate Program
Atlanta Gas Light also offers rebates on energy efficient natural gas furnaces. These rebates aren’t quite as big as those offered by the state of Georgia, but I’ll take a few hundred in savings where I can get it!
Rebate amounts are based on the annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE). That is, how efficiently the furnace makes heat. Upgrading to a natural gas furnace with 92% AFUE or higher gets a $300 rebate. Or you can go for max efficiency, or 95% AFUE or higher, for a $400 rebate.
You can also update your natural gas water heater with a model that is rated .82 uniform energy factor (UEF) or higher and get a $200 rebate.
